UPB 50 WEEKENDER

LIVE CONCERT with JEREMIAS and Paula Hartmann

Location: Hörsaal G
Address: Warburger Str. 100, 33098 Paderborn

Concert Hall G

JEREMIAS and Paula Hartmann came to Paderborn University on 16. December. After their last tour with tens of thousands of visitors, the band JEREMIAS now played an intimate concert in lecture hall G. And as if that wasn’t enough, singer Paula Hartmann and her live DJ Friso were also there. For the concert, the multifunctional G lecture hall was quickly converted into a concert hall. The seats in the lecture hall had been moved back so that there was room for almost 600 spectators in the hall, at the end of which a large concert stage had been set up. The whole hall joined in with the support act, when Paula Hartmann sang: We are young, what should happen to us? in straightforward language about growing up in a German city. JEREMIAS then made the audience rock with the groove of their disco funk. Jeremias Heimbach (vocals/piano), Oliver Sparkuhle (guitar/synthesiser), Ben Hoffmann (bass) and Jonas Hermann (drums) define bands and artists like Parcels, Tom Misch or Men I Trust as a common musical denominator. The audience loved it.

UPB 50 Weekender completes the anniversary

At the end of the year, the University once again invited everyone to a very special highlight. Tickets for the UPB 50 Weekender, which took place on campus from 15. to 17. December, were sold out in no time. Comedians Filiz Tasdan, Kinan Al and Daniel Wolfson from the Berlin group Stand Up 44 transformed the Audimax into a comedy stage and delighted the audience. In addition, it was clear the stage for science at the Sience Slam, where the criminal biologist Dr. Mark Benecke, well-known from the media, gave a guest lecture. Tickets for the intimate live concert in the G lecture theatre, where both the band Jeremias and the singer Paula Hartmann performed, also sold out quickly. The crowning glory of the anniversary year also included the Campus Party XXL, where the Mensa, lecture hall, corridors, library foyer and Grill Café became a unique venue with numerous DJs for one night.
