All this was on offer on Wednesday, 25. May, from 7 p.m. on stage at Paderborn University’s Studiobühne. Music lovers could attend the free concert, which lasted about an hour, without booking in advance.

International students and graduates of Paderborn University played instruments from their home countries, introducing unaccustomed musical sounds to Paderborn as part of the anniversary celebrations: three musicians played Chinese folk music – including pieces on the guzheng, a traditional musical instrument also known as the Chinese (board) zither. There was also a performance by the band DRUT, who filled the Studiobühne auditorium with sounds from both India and Pakistan: the very best of fusion music!
