Music from around the world

Traditional Chinese musical instruments and Indian-Bangladeshi sounds: all of this could be heard on Wednesday, May 25th, on the studio stage of Paderborn University. International students and graduates of Paderborn University played instruments from their home countries and brought unusual sounds to Paderborn on the occasion of the anniversary: Three musicians played Chinese folk music - including on the Guzheng, a traditional musical instrument, also known as a curved plank zither. In addition, the band DRUT performed and brought both Indian and Bangladeshi sounds to the studio stage: they call their direction "fusion music." More information about the event can be found here.
