Everything from Arabic to Finnish or sign language: in June, language enthusiasts of all ages could take part in a city rally around Paderborn to learn more about 20 different languages and the cultures they belong to. The Centre for Language Studies (ZfS) presented what it has to offer with this activity, which was part of Paderborn University’s 50^th anniversary celebrations. QR codes were available for a month at selected locations in the city of Paderborn with a link to the language in question. Participants could scan the codes with their phone to access explanatory videos and clues for a solution word. At the end of the participation period, various prizes were awarded to contestants who had submitted the correct solution word.
