To celebrate the university’s 50th anniversary, garage33 invited everyone to the Technologiepark for some networking and partying. Local spin-offs from the university and other young start-ups presented their creative prowess and joined the guests in raising a glass to 50 years of start-up culture and entrepreneurship at Paderborn University. However, it was not just a celebration, as garage33 also used the event as a chance to provide a platform for current outsourcing projects, as well as presenting garage33 as part of the ESC.NRW Project and showcasing the construction of the new start-up Campus OWL.

The focus was on the Demo Day of the garage33 Accelerators, at which six start-ups from the Venture Capital and Business Angel scene presented their work to a jury: “Steets”, a company that has developed an innovative supplementary module for forearm crutches, “Pure U.”, a duo focusing on natural make-up, “KATMA” from Rietberg, a start-up in the field of lorry load-space hygiene, “MatchU”, a software solution for talent recruitment, “Bontura”, a social start-up focusing om high-quality, fair-production sport balls and “TrainOs”, a solution for realistic operation simulations. The team that won the audience award could look forward to a cash prize of 1,000 euros, financed by the NRW.Bank.
