Since 2004, Paderborn University has boasted the largest number of female professors of all universities in North Rhine-Westphalia and, for several years, more than 50 per cent of graduates have been women. Many women with interesting backgrounds and careers have been – or still are – graduate or post-graduate students and/or researchers at UPB. These women are role models for female school pupils, students and young scientists. They are important tiles in the mosaic which characterizes the university as a whole. Now images and interviews of these successful (former) colleagues and graduates from the various faculties are being presented in a Hall of Fame. The exhibition does not simply focus on conventional ‘linear’ careers in the classic sense, but especially on women with interesting educational careers that typify the diversity of studies and scientific prowess at UPB. The portraits are displayed as an online mosaic.
